The new way of RT is #awesome and above is why...

On Twitter is @oatmeal who posted a good cartoon as mentioned in the tweet above... With the new RT people can "share" this virally through their streams... This means only the one tweet correctly attributed to the author...

However with the old school use of RT above I a ) have a horrific looking tweet b) cannot quickly get to the author c) am confused if KieranO is the author d) have about 3/4 of my stream filled up with the same tweet...

This is *the* problem the new RT solves... I actually get more from my stream as I don't now need to skim past the burst of tweets as everyone does RT in the old style as above...

So I posted a naive tweet this morning... As I attempted to surmise the above in to 140 characters it came out as a flippant tweet of "get free dell from me"

Result = my morning got destroyed by uber volume to tweets and emails with tweeps saying "me, me, me ooh pick me"

Not surprising and totally expected in hindsight.. Next time I have free stuff I a) won't tweet before the deal is up in full somewhere and b) won't tweet about it half awake c) won't tweet when I have enough to do that same day as it is ;)
