NHS 2.0

Today I had to go to hospital for my daughter of nearly three weeks to have a physio appointment... She's lazy with the leg movements and so they're not properly straight at the moment...

So I spent ~20mins driving to the hospital... ~10mins finding a car parking space a million miles away as the hospital car parking was full (and overpriced naturally)... Then, having already dropped off mum and daughter beforehand, as I made my approach to the ward, the better half rings me as the appointment has already been all done and dusted... It took 5mins as it was a simple informational meeting...

So NHS 2.0

Rather than me wasting an hour of my life burning fossil fuels; adding to congestion; disturbing my daughter's routine etc Why not put up some videos on YouTube or similar with the simple advice we're otherwise made to come to the Hospital for...

I'd then be happier and your staff would have more time for more urgent appointments...

Me thinks there's a vast number of routine tidbits of information which are somehow scaled up in to appointments which are unnecesary. Please use videos, webinars for simple, repeatable information.

Seems simple to me.. Just my two cents...
